Find a quiet place where you can focus without interruptions. Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself. Assess how stressed you feel about the date from 0 to 10, with 0 meaning that you’re not stressed at all and 10 being extremely stressed. This will help you track your progress.

Start tapping on the Karate Chop point (side of the hand) and repeat:

  • “Even though I’m feeling so stressed about this date and I’m afraid I’ll make a bad impression, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
  • “Even though I’m worried I might say or do the wrong thing, I choose to relax and embrace who I am.”
  • “Even though this date is making me anxious, I accept how I feel and I choose to trust that everything will be okay.”

Start tapping:

  • Top of Head (TH): I am calm, confident, and ready for this date.
  • Eyebrow (EB): I trust in my own worth and value.
  • Side of Eye (SE): I am open to having a great time.
  • Under Eye (UE): I release all the stress and anxiety.
  • Under Nose (UN): I choose to focus on the positives.
  • Chin (CH): I am worthy of a wonderful connection.
  • Collarbone (CB): I trust myself to handle this date with grace.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, imagine releasing all remaining tension and anxiety. Reevaluate how strong is the feeling on a scale from 0 to 10. Observe any changes in how you feel.
