It doesn’t matter how many break-ups you have experienced in your life or how long ago they were. Even one painful experience can leave our hearts broken and closed, feeling not ready to give and receive love anymore. By working through this script, you can begin to heal past wounds and cultivate a more open and loving heart.

Find a quiet place where you can focus without interruptions. Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself. Assess how much you feel your heart is closed on a scale from 0 to 10, with 0 meaning that you don’t experience that feeling at all and 10 being extremely intense. This will help you track your progress.

Start tapping on the Karate Chop point (side of the hand) and repeat:

  • “Even though my heart feels closed and broken, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
  • “Even though I have a lot of pain in my heart, I choose to honor my feelings and accept myself anyway.”
  • “Even though my heart feels closed and hurt, I am open to the possibility of healing and opening my heart again.”

Start tapping:

  • Eyebrow (EB): This pain in my heart.
  • Side of Eye (SE): My heart feels so closed.
  • Under Eye (UE): I can’t seem to open my heart.
  • Under Nose (UN): This deep emotional pain.
  • Chin (CP): I feel like my heart is broken.
  • Collarbone (CB): It’s hard to let go of this hurt.
  • Under Arm (UA): I carry so much pain in my heart.
  • Top of Head (TH): My heart feels closed off and guarded.
  • Eyebrow (EB): All these walls around my heart.
  • Side of Eye (SE): I’m afraid to let anyone in.
  • Under Eye (UE): It’s safer to keep my heart closed.
  • Under Nose (UN): But this closed heart is painful.
  • Chin (CP): I want to heal my broken heart.
  • Collarbone (CB): I want to open my heart again.
  • Under Arm (UA): I choose to release this pain.
  • Top of Head (TH): I choose to let my heart heal.
  • Eyebrow (EB): I am open to healing my heart.
  • Side of Eye (SE): I am willing to let love in.
  • Under Eye (UE): I choose to release the pain.
  • Under Nose (UN): I am ready to open my heart.
  • Chin (CP): I allow myself to feel love.
  • Collarbone (CB): I deserve to be loved and to love.
  • Under Arm (UA): I am open to healing and love.

Take a deep breath.

  • Top of Head (TH): My heart is healing and opening.
  • Eyebrow (EB): I am ready to let go of the past pain.
  • Side of Eye (SE): I am willing to open my heart.
  • Under Eye (UE): I choose to let love flow into my life.
  • Under Nose (UN): I am open to new possibilities of love.
  • Chin (CP): I am healing and my heart is opening.
  • Collarbone (CB): I allow love to heal my heart.
  • Under Arm (UA): I am deserving of love and joy.
  • Top of Head (TH): My heart is open and full of love.

Closing Statement while tapping the Karate Chop point:

  • “Even though my heart has been closed and hurt, I choose to heal and open my heart to love.”
  • “Even though I have experienced deep emotional pain, I am now open to healing and letting love in.”
  • “Even though my heart has felt broken, I now see my heart healing and opening to love and joy.”

Take a deep breath in and out. Reevaluate how strong is the feeling of having your heart closed on a scale from 0 to 10. Observe any changes in how you feel. You may need to repeat the process multiple times to see significant results. Practice this script regularly to help shift your mindset and feel more open to love again. Remember, EFT is a personal journey, you can always modify the statements to better suit your feelings and experiences.
